The ABD has an interest in schools for three reasons:
- Road Safety
It is prudent for drivers to take extra care outside schools at times children are going to, or coming from, school.
Sometimes a lower speed limit outside schools is appropriate at these times. However, we deplore lower limits being imposed 24 hours a day when this is clearly not necessary, such limits incite contempt for speed limits which may have consequences elsewhere.
Impressionable young minds must only be taught established facts, not political doctrine.
We have particular concerns about the teaching of environmental ideology as fact, and manipulating children for political purposes (for example by telling them to campaign for lower speed limits).
It is important for schools to ensure that children have a sound understanding of road safety, from when they are old enough to walk, through when they old enough to cycle, to when they are old enough to begin learning to drive.
ABD Press Releases about Schools
“When an opponent says: 'I will not come over to your side', I
calmly say, 'Your child belongs to us already. You will pass on. Your descendents, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time, they will know nothing else but this new community.' .”
Adolf Hitler. In a speech on 6th November 1933
(Consider if you will, how the government makes great efforts to 'teach' children about 'global warming' and 'speeding').
